Senior Fellow, Julia Kittross, recently authored a book aimed at helping families determine whether a private foundation is the right vehicle for their giving. The book, entitled "So You Want to Be a Philanthropist: How to Choose, Set Up and Manage a Successful Family Foundation" provides information on organizing your giving, giving vehicles, the ins and outs of private foundations, grantmaking and more.

Julia is currently the co-founder of Philanthropy Sherpas, a consultancy working with grantmakers with a specialty in family philanthropy. She has over 35 years of experience in philanthropy as a teacher, advisor, organizer, program designer, grantmaker, CEO and entrepreneur.
