Sydney Giacalone provides programmatic and administrative support to multiple TPI client projects, including grantmaking initiatives and scholarship programs. She works with family foundations to implement strategic philanthropic giving and supports senior staff in research, grantmaking, and planning.
Prior to joining TPI, Sydney worked as the Co-Editor of a book on the intersection of food and immigration politics. Throughout college and into the present, she has been active in college access and success tutoring, environmental and social justice, and nonprofit organizing in the Boston area. Sydney is a Summa Cum Laude graduate of Tufts University, where she double majored in Environmental Studies and Anthropology with a focus in food justice.
