Ali Carley works with TPI clients to provide strategic, programmatic, and operational support on a variety of projects. She manages a number of grantmaking processes, assists senior staff on strategic planning and evaluation, and conducts qualitative and quantitative research on issue areas and philanthropic best practices.
Prior to joining TPI, Ali worked at a healthcare technology startup that developed a product to help people with multiple chronic illnesses and children with disabilities better manage their own care. After college she spent time volunteering at an all-girls orphanage in Cusco, Peru, where she worked with a local volunteer organization to develop educational programs for the orphanage and provide daily assistance to the young girls and orphanage managers. Throughout college, Ali worked in the college writing center and volunteered as a tutor in the local community.
Ali graduated cum laude from Bates College, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in English with concentrations in Education and Art History.
