SANCTUARY PROJECTORS: Remember to go to the ATM today to get $20 per person for the special offering this Sabbath, May 3 to raise money for new projectors for the side screens in the sanctuary. It looks like we will have to raise $20,000 almost immediately, in order to purchase two modern projectors. The internal LCD panels on our current projectors are deteriorating, they have very low brightness, and it is getting harder to find replacement lamps for the 10-year old equipment. After careful research and study of alternatives, we have determined the best option is to purchase new projectors and lenses. The trick is to find equipment that will work for the long distance in our sanctuary (105 feet), with enough brightness, without costing hundreds of thousands of dollars. We are currently looking at Sanyo PLCXF60A projectors, each with a NuView 375MCZ151 lens. These will increase the brightness from 2000 lumens, to at least 6500 lumens, and improve the contrast ratio from 300:1 to 1300:1. The cost for these new projectors and lenses is approximately $20,000. If every person will bring $20 this Sabbath, we can raise the money we need in just one special offering.
THAILAND LAST CALL: 46 have signed up for the Thailand Mission Trip, July 29-August 13. If anyone else would like to go, we need to hear about it! $250 deposit and passport name is all you need to lock in a seat, the rest of the $2014 by May 22.
