How to Apply

Nonprofits and social enterprises interested in applying for a program-related investment (PRI) through The Fund for Sustainability should review the investment structure and requirements to first see if they would be eligible. Please feel free to contact TFS with any questions you have on the eligibility or applying for the fund. Interested organizations should review and send required application materials (listed below) to TFS at: cap-tfs@tpi.org. Please include TFS APPLICATION in the subject header.

      • Brief concept paper describing the borrower and the PRI request, including the proposed amount and use of funds (2 to 3 pages)
      • Fiscal year-end financial statements for last 3 years, including audited statements/letters from auditors (if available)
      • Organizational budget for the current fiscal year
      • Organizational materials such as annual report, recent achievements
      • Staffing chart, and any financial, fundraising, or business plans (as available)
      • Any background materials relevant to the proposed project/request (e.g. financial projections, management plans, demand analysis, etc..)

CAP conducts initial due diligence on interested organizations: Nonprofits who meet initial specifications will be asked to submit an application and the supporting documentation (below) for review. Nonprofits who are interested but not yet ready for PRI investments may work with CAP to think through how to develop the appropriate capacity for PRI investments

If you have any questions at all, please contact us at cap-tfs@tpi.org
