Presentations, Workshops and Trainings
CAP believes that getting key stakeholders on board is CRITICAL for any philanthropic organization to move from 'interest' to 'implementation' of Program Related Investment (PRI) strategies aligned with their strategy and mission. To assist key stakeholder understanding of PRI and other mission investment strategies - CAP designs and delivers targeted, hands-on presentations and workshops for foundation management, trustees, program staff, grantees and other appropriate decision makers. Whether organizations are (a) newly considering PRIs, (b) interested in structuring their first PRI, or (c) interested in moving from a first time PRI to a broader strategy – CAP designs and delivers presentation, trainings, and workshops focused on catalyzing action.
-- Targeted Workshops: One of the challenges to broader adoption of PRI strategies is a lack of targeted learning opportunities or facilitated conversations that allow key stakeholders to better understand the opportunities and challenges of PRIs as relevant to their organization and finances; work through key questions and barriers to implementation; and translate broader PRI opportunities in a more targeted way to their own organizations and missions. CAP provides direct, hands-on education and training for foundations, donors and nonprofits that address topics from concept to placement of PRI investments. CAP can work with other partners, and deliver these in person, via web presentation or conference call.
-- Powerful Presentations: In addition to its targeted workshops and trainings, CAP works with foundations, donors, and nonprofits to develop (and deliver when desired) powerful presentations that demonstrate the efficacy of PRI strategies, highlight the challenges and opportunities, identify sources of funds and leverage, and highlight the specific opportunity to consider and utilize ‘non-traditional’ funding strategies. Whether presenting to board or foundation trustees, program or finance staff, key funders, or grantees/beneficiaries – CAP works with each client to evaluate the opportunity and demonstrate the case for PRIs specific to their organization and mission
