Peter Lamb
Peter Lamb, Senior Fellow, is an independent philanthropic advisor providing counsel & philanthropic solutions for individuals and their advisors who seek to organize charitable ideas, more strategically approach grantmaking and pursue family legacies. He served the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation from 1999 to 2010 where he was the Vice President for Philanthropy and the Foundation's Senior Philanthropic Advisor
Peter has served the non-profit field for thirty five years and balances the art of philanthropic planning with the science of achieving effective results that truly improve community well being. He has a keen interest in effective governance and has served as trustee of several private foundations and on numerous environmental, historic, arts and education boards including the Maine Community Foundation, the University System of NH Board of Trustees, the Piscataqua Region Estuary Partnership and the bi-national Gulf of Maine Council. A former member of the Council on Foundation’s AdNet steering committee and a frequent speaker, Peter was a founding member of the national "Excellence in Family Philanthropy: Community Foundations Working Group."
Peter balances his time learning crafts and folkways that help define the roots of community culture. He is an accomplished woodworker and metal smith and builds stonewalls at his home on Gerrish Island at Kittery Point, Maine.
