Amy Zell Ellsworth
Amy Zell Ellsworth is a Senior Fellow at TPI. Prior to becoming a Senior Fellow she was a Senior Philanthropic Advisor working on projects ranging from curriculum development and delivery of donor educational programs to program research, strategic planning and meeting facilitation for family and other foundations. She has worked closely with community foundations on family philanthropy issues through TPI’s initiative Excellence in Family Philanthropy and authored TPI’s most recent edition of its family philanthropy primer and workbook, Giving Together.
Amy also served as Program Director for New England International Donors (NEID), a donor affinity group with a mission to increase the quantity and quality of philanthropy occuring outside the U.S. Additional service to the field includes planning and committee work for the Council on Foundations, Association of Small Foundations and Grantmakers in the Arts. She has participated in the arts as a choreographer, teacher and performer and as Board President oversaw the transition of the Boston Dance Alliance (an arts services organization that provides leadership, services and advocacy for the greater Boston dance community) from an all volunteer to a respected, professionally run organization.
