One of the largest community foundations in the country, The Columbus Foundation has an impressive record of community leadership, grantmaking and donor services. In 2002, the Foundation asked TPI to help enhance their capacity to serve family philanthropies. TPI conducted a number of trainings for the foundation staff aimed at helping them better understand family philanthropies and improve their ability to help families realize their goals in both family governance and social impact. In addition, TPI delivered workshops for the foundation’s professional advisor community, conducted educational workshops for the foundation’s donors and board members and helped the foundation create a Family Philanthropy Toolkit for the foundation’s website and marketing materials.
