On June 23rd Ellen Remmer, President and CEO, and Leslie Pine, Senior Vice President of Programs at TPI will lead a breakout session at Northern California Grantmakers’ 2010 Corporate Philanthropy Institute: Lead, Manage, Do.

NCG’s 2010 Corporate Philanthropy Institute will look at how to create an innovative corporate citizenship strategy that embraces dynamic leadership practices, which are both responsive to change and which incorporate new thinking about the role of philanthropy.

TPI’s session, entitled “Leadership is Everyone's Job: How to be a Responsive and Responsible Leader in Changing Times,” will explore roles for corporate philanthropy leadership in a changing world, map out a plan for the expression of leadership across all levels of the corporation, and share tools and approaches to addressing key challenges.

Participants will gather information on how to determine the niche in which a company can provide philanthropic leadership and how to identify potential leadership roles for the corporation. Through examples of highly effective corporate philanthropy, leaders will gain knowledge on how to identify opportunities and challenges and define next steps for developing a corporate philanthropy strategy.
