Professor Muhammad Yunus with Peter Karoff, TPI Chairman and Founder

On October 13, TPI hosted a dinner reception for Professor Muhammad Yunus, winner of the 2006 Nobel Peace Prize and founder of the Grameen Bank.  At the Charles Hotel in Cambridge, fifty esteemed guests enjoyed dinner and pearls of wisdom from Professor Yunus, as well as remarks from Ellen Remmer and Peter Karoff of TPI, and from Vidar Jorgensen, who spoke about the Grameen America Initiative.

Grameen America is beginning its US mission to focus on savings and credit establishment and to provide loans and savings programs to foster entrepreneurship among the poor throughout the US, extending a path toward prosperity for those who have the will to attain it, regardless of their starting point.

Visit the Grameen Bank website at www.grameen-info.org to learn more about Professor Yunus' extraordinary career and the ins and outs of Grameen Bank and the other companies and replications it has spawned over the years.
