Date Published: September 2, 2011
Ellen Remmer presented on Tuesday, September 20, 2011 at the Women in Leadership Breakfast hosted by the American Red Cross Tiffany Circle: Society of Women Leaders. Her presentation, How Remarkable Women Give looked at the power and potential of women’s philanthropy and how women, with their transformational leadership style, can achieve social change by being passionate about philanthropy as a means to self-expression, family bonding, and positive social impact.
The Tiffany Circle is a society of women leaders and philanthropists that invest $10,000 annually in the American Red Cross of Massachusetts Bay. These women follow in the footsteps of a long line of women leaders who have helped the Red Cross serve the American public. There are over 670 members in Red Cross Tiffany Circles across the country and membership is growing internationally as well, with societies in five countries. Local chapters host a number of engaging programs for members and prospects, which often feature women leaders from a variety of fields sharing insight and expertise on a particular topic.
