Pine to Discuss Corporate Culture of Generosity at Net Impact
Date Published: September 23, 2010
Leslie Pine, Senior Vice President of Program at TPI will moderate a panel at this year’s Net Impact Conference, 2020: Vision for a Sustainable Decade. The 18th Annual Conference, to be held at the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan October 28-30 will challenge participants to identify their role in shaping a more sustainable future.
Corporate philanthropy levels can be difficult to sustain during challenging times. Corporations, however, can better weather the ebb and flow and build value in their brand as good citizens if they create a culture of generosity within the organization. The actions and attitudes of individuals at every level can be powerful tools in shaping perceptions and increasing positive social impact. Pine’s session, entitled “Creating a Culture of Generosity Beyond Corporate Giving,” will look at what a culture of generosity can mean and innovative approaches to achieve it. Specifically, the panel will seek to answer:
- How is a culture of generosity different than corporate giving or employee engagement?
- Why is a culture of generosity critical to brand and societal impact?
- What can be done to create a culture of generosity?
Panelists include:
- Ricardo Benavidez, Cisco Systems
- Joe Faber, Co-Founder and Principal, Faber Daeufer & Rosenberg PC
- Bruce Gobdel, Former Chairman – Management Committee for Creative Financial Staffing, Crowe Horwath
