Date Published: February 1, 2011
TPI Vice President Jim Coutre will speak on Thursday, March 10th at the Center on Philanthropy at Indiana University’s 2011 symposium, Women World Wide Leading through Philanthropy.
The symposium focuses on how women lead, give, and connect through philanthropy around the globe. Two dozen speakers including donors, researchers, and practitioners from six continents will explore this rich and vibrant landscape with sessions ranging from gender differences in giving in Great Britain, family philanthropy and the next generation, and marketing campaigns to build new audiences to leadership issues, celebrity philanthropy, and women’s philanthropy in China.
Coutre's session, entitled Family Philanthropy and the Next Generation: From a Gender Lens will look at the intergenerational dynamics of family philanthropy and the role that gender plays - specifically as relates to women - in certain situations.
