Gibson to speak on civic engagement at NCNG

On Wednesday, February 23rd Senior Vice President Cynthia Gibson will lead a session on civic engagement at North Carolina Network of Grantmakers’ (NCNG) Annual Meeting. Established in 2002, NCNG is a network of over 80 foundations, corporate giving programs and donor-advised funds that make grants to North Carolina charitable causes. The 2011 Annual Meeting, Transitions for the Future, is an opportunity for grant makers to network and learn about issues facing North Carolina
Gibson’s session will lead funders through an interactive session that explores trends in this area and how philanthropic institutions can, and why they should, help increase civic engagement in their communities to meet the challenges of the 21st century.
