Today, February 28, 2011, is the 8th annual International Corporate Philanthropy Day (ICPD), an international advocacy day led by the Committee Encouraging Corporate Philanthropy (CECP).  ICPD recognizes the important role of business in society by building awareness of corporate-community partnerships and inspiring businesses around the world to engage further in philanthropy.

ICPD is a chance for corporate leaders to:

  • Publicize their company’s philanthropic engagements on an internationally recognized day.
  • Further engage senior management, employees, and nonprofit partners in giving programs.
  • Raise awareness of the important role of philanthropy in the corporate sector
  • Enhance relationships with peers and thought leaders in the field

Since 1989, TPI has worked with companies around the world to develop high-impact philanthropic strategies.  Today we offer a number of services to corporations seeking help with strategic planning; programmatic research, design, and implementation of philanthropy initiatives; evaluation and refining/revamping strategies; or other issues relating to CSR and philanthropic goals.  Our High-Impact Corporate Signature Initiative workshop helps corporate leaders answer such questions as:

  • Should our company create a Signature Initiative?
  • Could our current Signature Inititiave be more effective?
  • Can we have multiple Signature Initiatives?

And helps participants learn how to:

  • Address a clearly defined social goal that aligns with business goals.
  • Enable the company to play an important leadership role within a distinctive niche.
  • Leverage financial and other resources in creative ways that maximize impact and visibility.
