Remmer Keynotes in Dublin with President of Ireland
Date Published: April 9, 2010
On April 14 in Dublin Ireland, Ellen Remmer will follow Ireland’s President, Mary McAleese, as the keynote speaker at the landmark seminar “Realizing the Power and Potential of Women’s Philanthropy”
The seminar is a collaboration between the Community Foundation for Ireland and Philanthropy Ireland and is being supported by Ulster Bank.
In May 2009, TPI hosted a delegation consisting of fourteen senior administrators and policymakers from philanthropic foundations, relevant government agencies, and grant making bodies in Ireland and Northern Ireland. The intent of the program, with events on the East and West Coasts, was to highlight examples of innovation, thoughtful leadership, and administrative best practice in the world of philanthropy – with an emphasis on exploring lessons learned from the evolution of American philanthropy over the past several decades.
This delegation chose Ellen Remmer to bring to Ireland in the spring of 2010 to teach and inspire emerging philanthropy leaders. In addition to “Realizing the Power and Potential of Women’s Philanthropy” Remmer will travel across Ireland and Northern Ireland as a featured speaker at over a dozen philanthropy convenings.
