Center for Global Philanthropy
Since its inception, TPI has sought to promote more and better philanthropy worldwide. Working in partnership with colleagues and clients around the world, the Center for Global Philanthropy seeks to catalyze philanthropy’s global impact through improved knowledge, broader engagement, and strategic practice.
Research and Knowledge Building
Neither the current practice nor the future promise of global philanthropy is well understood. Today’s knowledge base is fragmented, anecdotal and not easily accessible, and while limited data does exist, rigorous and multi-disciplinary analysis is very much needed. TPI works with colleagues around the world to develop better knowledge to increase the effectiveness of global philanthropy.
Broader Engagement
The infrastructure to encourage and support global giving, along with opportunities to develop learning and create partnerships, remains limited. TPI’s global center works to promote and support broader engagement in international giving and, in partnership with local organizations, promote and strengthen giving in other countries. Through a range of programs, workshops, educational offerings, and infrastructure-building efforts in the United States and elsewhere, TPI is inspiring greater numbers of donors to engage – and engage more deeply – in truly effective philanthropy.
Advising
Both international giving and giving within other countries is on the rise and the demand for expert advice and assistance has never been greater. Individuals, family foundations and corporations retain TPI to help create and execute effective global philanthropy strategies. Our deep knowledge and global network bring simplicity and security to the complex challenges associated with effective international giving. TPI works with private and corporate clients both in the U.S. and abroad to develop philanthropic programs to achieve maximum impact and ensure donor satisfaction.
