TPI Leadership Change
From Ellen Remmer, TPI's Interim Managing Partner:
For more than 25 years, The Philanthropic Initiative (TPI) has actively promoted and advanced the field of strategic philanthropy. As we enter the next era, we look forward to taking philanthropy even further. We are committed to breaking new ground, while drawing on our long track record and expertise.
Jamie Jaffee, TPI's Managing Partner over the last 2 years, has decided to leave TPI to pursue other interests. Working with Jamie, TPI has achieved much on behalf of our clients and our mission. We're grateful for Jamie's dedication and wish her all the best.
Effective December 1, I will once again step into a leadership role at TPI, as Interim Managing Partner. I relish the opportunity to work with Paul S. Grogan at our partner organization, The Boston Foundation, in pushing strategic philanthropy forward locally, nationally and across the globe.
Through the years, I've been fortunate to get to know so many of you, starting in 1993, when I joined TPI, eager to attack the world's issues by focusing philanthropy where it was most needed. For six years, I served as President and CEO of TPI, and then took a more client-facing role when TPI merged with the extraordinary Boston Foundation. I continue to learn from the world's most impactful philanthropists and am grateful for the opportunity to lead TPI forward in pursuing our mission.
Over our 25 years, TPI has partnered with its clients to direct more than one billion dollars and influenced billions more in effective philanthropy. We're constantly innovating and offering new initiatives and services to help clients make bold, positive changes on issues that matter most to them. We look forward to continuing and expanding this work in the years ahead.
There has never been a more important time for powerful, strategic philanthropy. Please join us in striving to meet society's most pressing needs. I encourage you to reach out to me any time. I would love to hear your thoughts about TPI and where you see philanthropy going in the next 25 years.
Interim Manager Partner, TPI
