Deborah Denhart

Deborah Denhart, Senior Program Officer, works with individual donors, family foundations and corporations to develop and manage new programs that focus on positive social change, particularly for disadvantaged youth, families and communities. Areas of work target early literacy, family homelessness, youth development and support for youth attending college.

Prior to joining TPI, Deborah was the Director of Programs for the Harvard Center for Children's Health at Harvard University where she was responsible for the start-up of the University's first research and policy center dedicated to children's health issues. Deborah was previously a Senior Project Analyst for the Center for Perinatal and Family Health at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston with responsibility for designing, implementing and evaluating community-based programs for low-income women and children. Deborah also has over 12 years experience working with non-profit organizations that focus on the needs of children with disabilities and chronic health problems and serves on the board of several local child care organizations.

Deborah is a graduate of Rutgers University and received Masters degrees in public policy and management from the Harvard School of Public Health and in child development from the University of Notre Dame.
