Robert Hohler
Bob Hohler is the Executive Director of the Melville Charitable Trust, a family foundation dedicated to finding and supporting solutions to end homelessness and develop workforce and affordable housing. For many years Bob has practiced as an independent consultant, specializing in strategic development and capacity assessment for nonprofits and he has worked with hundreds of organizations in the U.S. and around the world. Bob served as the first director of development for Oxfam America; playing a key role with the national Cambodia Crisis Committee and as advisor to U.S officials shaping policy in that region. He also served as a strategic advisor to the Nobel prize-winning International Physicians for the Prevention of Nuclear War.
A writer, editor and producer, his work includes the TV documentaries, Cambodia: Does It Have a Future? and El Salvador: No Place to Run. He served for many years as the board chair and president of the Civil Rights Project, Inc., a collaborator with Blackside, Inc., creators and producers of the public television series Eyes on the Prize, The Great Depression, America's War on Poverty and I'll Make Me a World.
