Lisa Spalding
Lisa Spalding, Philanthropic Advisor, works with TPI clients to increase the impact of their giving through strategic planning, facilitation, social issues research, and the design, implementation and evaluation of philanthropic strategies and initiatives. Lisa has a Master’s degree from University of Michigan’s School of Natural Resources and Environment specializing in conflict management and collaborative planning, where she received the Doris Duke Fellowship for Conservation Leadership. She also has a bachelor’s degree from Oberlin College.
Prior to joining TPI, Lisa managed community programming for the regional land trust the New England Forestry Foundation. She was also a fellow at the Ecosystem Management Initiative, where she helped environmental organizations and collaboratives develop plans for evaluation and adaptive management. Lisa also managed the Marine Conservation Action Fund, an international grantmaking program at the New England Aquarium that addresses time sensitive conservation issues through financial, professional, and technical assistance. Lisa has ten years of program, research and communications experience in nonprofit organizations focused on conservation and education.
