Jim Coutré

Jim Coutré, a Vice President at TPI, is leading TPI's strategic communications and business development efforts, drawing upon a fifteen year career in communications.  Jim works to develop special initiatives which respond to the evolving needs of clients and colleagues and broaden the understanding of strategic philanthropy and its emerging trends.  Jim is also a resource in helping our clients build stronger, deeper connections with their internal and external constituent groups as well as connect their philanthropy to their institutional branding efforts.

Prior to TPI, Jim spent much of the past decade on the for-profit side as Director of Brand Strategy at a thought-leading brand strategy consultancy based in Boston. While he created and implemented branding and marketing programs for many financial services and technology firms, Jim was most excited by, and known for, his work with category-leading non-profits. Working nationally in areas including conservation, education, healthcare and the arts, Jim’s efforts were recently recognized through three international Rebrand100 awards for his work with Boston’s Museum of Science, the city of Salem Massachusetts, and The Trustees of Reservations – an organization with which he remains actively involved.

Jim received a Bachelors of Art in Economics from Washington University in St. Louis with a minor in Fine Arts.
